The Deming Prize

The name of the Deming Prize was after Dr. W Edwards Deming in 1951. Moreover, the administration was done by the Japanese Union of Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) and follows the requirements of the PDCA cycle.

Assessment criteria are,

• Firstly, company policy and planning,
• Then, organisation,
• After that, quality control education,
• Quality information handling,
• Then analysis, standardization and so on. etc

Categories of the Prize

To get it to understand, in the period 1951 to 1984, a number of categories were created under which this award was given. These are,

• Firstly, for Individuals.
• Then for large and small organizations.
• Small organizations.
• For company divisions.
• Lastly for Non-Japanese companies.

Criteria of the Deming Prize
