Screen Orientation and Rotations
Screen orientation refers to the orientation of the screen display on an iPhone or any other mobile device. This can be either portrait or landscape, and it determines how the content on the screen is presented to the user.
Rotations under iPhone apps refer to the automatic or manual change of screen orientation from portrait to landscape or vice versa when the user rotates their iPhone. This can be achieved either by physically rotating the device or by using the built-in accelerometer that detects the device’s orientation and adjusts the display accordingly.
Many iPhone apps are designed to work in both portrait and landscape modes, and some apps may even have different functionality or layouts depending on the orientation. For example, a video player app may switch to full-screen mode when the device is rotated to landscape orientation, while a reading app may adjust the layout to better display the text in portrait mode.
