The roles of advisors post – acquisition are as follows

They create a thorough integration plan before a transaction is completed to address incorporation of different systems, processes, procedures, and different corporate cultures.
They identify overlapping of functional services between acquisition target and acquiring company and perform assessment of needs and recommend which systems to move forward with.
They develop project status reports, budgets, personnel needs assessment, operating plans, and other functional requirements for integration project.
They provide documentation on all integration services.
They implement communication plan to encourage retention of key employees and key customers.
