Computer hardware refers to the physical components of a computer system. It includes all the parts of a computer that can be seen and touched, such as the computer case, monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, and other peripherals. The main components of a computer hardware system are:
Central Processing Unit (CPU): It is the brain of the computer and performs all the processing of data and instructions. It is also known as the microprocessor.
Random Access Memory (RAM): It is the temporary memory of the computer, where data and instructions are stored temporarily during processing.
Hard Disk Drive (HDD): It is the primary storage device of the computer, where all the files and programs are stored.
Motherboard: It is the main circuit board of the computer, which connects all the components of the system.
Power Supply Unit (PSU): It is responsible for providing power to all the components of the computer.
Graphics Processing Unit (GPU): It is responsible for rendering and displaying images and videos on the monitor.
Optical Disc Drive (ODD): It is a device that reads and writes data to optical discs, such as CDs and DVDs.
Input/Output devices: These are peripherals that allow input and output of data to and from the computer, such as the keyboard, mouse, printer, and scanner.
Cooling system: It is a set of fans and heat sinks that maintain the temperature of the components of the computer and prevent overheating.
