- Set targets – Poor performers do not like to set targets. They either set the minimum target or they set a target they think their managers want them to set. Even if they set targets, nobody knows. They keep it a secret all to themselves.
- Keep track on activity – Usually companies have activity tracking system which helps in checking an individual against targets, use them to successfully achieve the targets.
- Clear Objectives – Do not use feelings to evaluate the success of each appointment but, have clear objectives for each meet up.
- Clarify – Poor performers are not comfortable in asking questions so, they prefer to assume.
- Do not get carried by emotions – Poor performers feel that they are unable to control their emotions but, top performers understand that they can change how they feel by interrupting their current emotions, so as to put them in their strongest emotional state.
- Follow up closely – Take a proactive role in following up with customers.
- Upgrade yourself – Keep on upgrading yourself to know about new developments by attending seminars and courses.
- Be consistent and disciplined – Be consistent and not victims to circumstances and also be disciplined in keeping to the schedule.
- Make yourself accountable – Do not blame others every time, understand that you must be accountable for whatever happens to them.
