Training evaluation involves the assessment of the efficiency of the training programs. This assessment is done by collecting data on whether the employees were satisfied with the training program, whether they learned something from the training and are they able to apply those skills to their work. Organizations spend a large amount of money on the training programs, therefore it is important for them to understand the usefulness of the same.

There are various benefits of Training Evaluation:

    Training evaluation helps the trainers to make the training programs fulfil the competency gaps and still, the deliverables do not get compromised.

    Training evaluation also delivers feedback to the trainer or the conductor. It accesses individuals at the level of their work and makes it easier to understand the gaps in the training. Feedbacks even identify the changes required in the training.

Not many organizations believe in the process of training evaluation and do not have an evaluation system in their place. Many organizations create training programs year after year and not many have an evaluation mechanism in their place.
