Containerisation

It is a method of transporting the freight, by placing it in the heavy-duty containers. It’s an important cargo moving technique developed back in the 20th century. It became an important element in the ocean shipping or say international logistics, there are special ships for freight carrying. Large enough to load or unload the big containers and their cargos above the deck and below as well. This saves time by handling bulk in one go.

Containerisation

Containerization has proven to be the best cost-effective way, reducing the cost of transportation and increasing the international trade. The advantages of containerization include – less handling of the cargo, less exposure to the elements, there will be a low shipping cost and more protection against the pilferage, etc. This clearly states that the standardized containers can be easily transported over long distances, without opening being opened can be transferred between modes of transportation more efficiently.

This is a very important part of the international trading system- this helps in protecting the products by putting them into the heavy & safe containers. Also if accidentally any of the container fells in the water, the hermetic construction of it protects it against the humidity until it’s’ been taken out. The best suitable mode of transportation internationally.
