About the job:

  • Job Description: MS SQL DBA with Databricks
  • Experience: 7 to 13 Years
  • Location: Chennai, Mumbai, Pune
  • Notice Period: Immediate

Must Have:

  • Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, slow queries, and inefficiencies, including those related to Databricks workloads.
  • Configure proactive monitoring and alerts to identify and address potential issues specific to Databricks workloads before they impact users.
  • Optimize costs by right-sizing resources, utilizing reserved instances, and leveraging cloud cost management tools for databases, Databricks clusters, and workspaces.
  • Utilize auto-scaling and load balancing to optimize resource allocation for databases and Databricks clusters based on demand.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to address performance issues including those related to Databricks clusters and workloads.
  • Expertly manage cloud-specific database services such as Azure SQL DB, Synapse, Cosmos DB, as well as Databricks specific configurations and optimizations for data processing and analytics.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Cosmos DB performance and Databricks clusters to achieve optimal query performance and minimal latency.

Good to Have:

  • Respond to Databricks-specific alerts promptly and take necessary actions to mitigate issues.
  • Provision, configure, and manage databases on Azure cloud platforms.
  • Cloud-specific Services, troubleshooting, support, and Databricks Performance Optimization.
