Job Role:

  • You will drive change, contribute to and influence the future of the wider Global Talent Acquisition team and Expedia Group’s overall strategy with an emphasis for our India team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, launch and scale a robust, global talent acquisition strategy focused on Expedia Group’s hiring in India.
  • As a true value-coach, build a seamless partnership with our hiring leaders as a genuine trusted advisor.
  • Partner with our business and TA leaders to understand talent requirements, whilst challenging current thinking and ways of hiring whilst advising them on industry talent trends and market competitiveness.
  • Translate hiring needs into strategic recruitment plans and set clear expectations for the timeframe and partnership needed from the business.
  • Partner effectively with People (HR) business partners to ensure a high-quality experience for hiring managers, the hiring team and candidates.
  • Translate data into insights to influence senior leadership decision making, support problem solving and to communicate compelling data stories.
  • Organizational Design & Development: Build a high-performance team that can move hiring in India to the next orbit of delivery and business partnership.
  • Drive workforce planning and capacity planning, optimize the team to deliver against full hiring demand.

Expertise In:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience leading a global recruiting team, ideally in India
  • A strategic global recruiting leader, experienced leading a global team which has successfully increased pipeline and hiring in technology and location specific hiring experience within India.
  • Passion for and understanding of talent acquisition and its relationship to talent management, and to assess and translate business strategies and workforce implications.
  • Proven impact and influencing skills and track record of successfully engaging with senior leaders to drive a talent strategy.
  • A Strategic Partner: curious and passionate about the business context and leadership growth, builds strong relationship by being an inspiring and approachable leader.
  • A Storyteller: able to build and articulate a vision and translating it into an executable strategy, leading with data and insights.
  • Skilled thought-leader, confident and successful at influencing others to act.
  • An incredibly strong operator on a global scale, across globally dispersed teams, leveraging technology and change management to continuously optimize efficiencies and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
  • Strong analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills, with the drive to cut through complexity and turn high-level business requirements and opportunities into specific initiatives.
  • Translate metrics, research, and external and internal trends into creative practices, to drive decision making and measure success.
  • Experienced operating in a highly matrixed organization, being familiar with methods and approaches needed to get things done in a collaborative, lean and fast-paced environment.
