About The Job:

Role: Assistant Director-Data Science
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 8+ yrs
Education: Bachelors or master’s in science or engineering disciplines (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a range of data science projects, including model development, features engineering, and data analytics in the Financial Services industry
Lead technical solutioning (including contribution in a hands-on capacity) for in-depth analysis, predictive modelling, and insight generation using ML, AI, DL, and GenAI based models (including LLMs)
Oversee the entire model development lifecycle and oversee error-free and on-time implementation of data science projects including problem understanding, data collection, model building, validation, deployment and monitoring
Provide delivery governance and manage client-facing teams of junior data scientists and data engineers with scoping, detailed project plans, timelines, and effective client communication to ensure client satisfaction
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, ensuring best practices in data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML model development
Serve as the primary contact for client communications, ensuring clear and effective information exchange
Incorporate feedback from clients and continuously improve models, dashboards, and processes
Maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and project progress reports

Skills:

Strong Python programming skills with a focus on data analysis and modelling
Experience with financial datasets and strong mathematical background
Exposure to financial metrics datasets and asset classes
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a business and financial aptitude
