• Bringing the new assets in the organization: Yes, it is a very crucial and a very important process that is the recruitment process. Employees in this department are responsible for hiring the people for various posts in an organization. That, in the long run, decides the growth of the organization. Friends, hiring an apt talent is also not an easy task to do. Also, it is always said, one person might be “best” and very talented but not appropriate for the desired post. Hence, judging which employee will work as an asset for the company and not a liability is a responsibility of an HR employee. On an interesting note, HR interviews are considered to be tougher than the technical interviews!! As they actually don’t judge you on your knowledge about the subject but on your personality, and this in itself is not easy. Judging someone on his/her personality, character and on behavioural traits is a difficult task!
• Motivate the employees to work hard, by giving various incentives: Yes, HR employees have a huge hand in motivating the “assets” of the organization. They do it in various innovative ways. For instance, they encourage the employees to work harder and in a discipline manner and keep rewards for appreciating the same.Some of the policy initiatives taken by them are:
- Holiday offers
- End of year bonuses
- Equities
- Promotions and career development
- Provision of flexible working hours
This is self-explanatory that when a person sees his own development and his benefits he tends to work more dedicatedly. Hence, framing the appropriate policies for the employees helps a lot in the development of the organization.

Yes, this is true. Right job to right person is the prime responsibility of HR function. HR people also uses the PI tool for hiring people to judge their attitude, potential, firmness etc. Well wrote and explained. Wonderful!

Great depiction of the core job of an HR. Obviously it is considered to be the most thankless job, majorly because an HR has to be a part of most difficult diciesons like terminations, resignations and appraisals 🙂 but obviously there is a lot more to the life cycle of an employee and organization where tgey contribute.
