Language? what a language is?

Simple, it’s a way In which we humans communicate.
There are a number of languages in the world according to different regions in the world.
For example english,hindi,spanish,chinese,arabic etc.

What a language actually does?
It consist of some words which has some instructions in it which can be easily understand by a human brain and brain decode those instructions and do the required work. Similarly, we have languages in computers which have some instructions in it, which is programmed by computer and which further ask computer to do the required operation. These languages which we use in computer are called Programming languages.

With the evolution of computer, there needed a thing to control computers and for that a way of communication was required. This leaded to a concept of language, and in the early 1950s first programming language was introduced that was assembly language. A computer language consists of two parts in which one is syntax and the other is semantics. Syntax basically means a format and semantic means logic, combination of both makes a language. In computer world a language is designed in such a way so that it can be easily understand by both human(user) and the computer, this means that when a program or code is written with correct syntax and semantics it is decoded by computer in binary form( computer understandable language ).

There are two types of programming languages, one is low-level programming language and the other one is high level programming language. Basically a low-level language is more inclined towards computer and not the user. Assembly language was converted to computer understandable language using assembler. High level language is a language which is much user-friendly and can easily be converted to machine understandable using compiler or interpreter. The codes in these languages are similar to human language and thus it is user friendly.

Some common examples of these languages are Fortran,Cobol, snobol, Algol,c/c++,java,c#,python,HTML,XML,ruby,pearl,ASP,PHP, .NET, java script, pascal.
