As organizations continue to diversify, the opportunities for workplace problems intensify. Small business owners and managers typically face one or more of three potential levels of conflict — employee, team or organization-wide issues. Often the underlying causes of these problems are the lack of open, flowing communications or using the wrong organizational structure. Many businesses compound problems by avoiding communicating a clear chain of command path.
- Unequal treatment
There’s a discrimination often seen in an institution where the family line or personal affections are taken into view…. - Lack of proper communication
It is a failure on the part of the superiors that they are not able to communicate all the things they should otherwise do to help their subordinates to work properly .A proper downward flow of communication thus is needed. - Not telling employees what their goals are
Facts and studies say that nearly half the employees lack the knowledge of the basic corporate objectives they need to look upon and achieve. When the goal itself is blurred , how can one expect the organization to run smooth!!!! - Stifling new ways of working
We can usually see in an organization that the subordinates feel clenched sometimes due to the lack of support they get from their superiors. They are not allowed to try the new ways of working yet they are expected to use and go on with the conventional ways that are in use since a long period. This creates a deadlock sometimes and neither the juniors nor their bosses are ready to give away.
Bad management is a big issue in the present day scenario. The list of above quoted problems does not end up here only. A company needs that its employees work harmoniously and cooperate with each other to help the organization achieve its goals. A great way to do this is to carry out a 360 degree feedback review of all management, if done properly and honestly would definitely prove useful.
