Marco Dawson bags Senior Open Championship

World renowned American golfer, Marco Dawson takes home the first major British Senior Open Championship Title by a one shot victory on the Old Course at Sunningdale Gold Club on the 26th of July, 2015 in Sunningdale, England. American professional golfer, Dawson has had a long career playing both the Web.com Tours and PGA. Marco Dawson shot a sparkling closing 64 and beat German Bernhard Langer who was last year’s champion and Colin Montgomerie in the twin challenge over the final nine holes to obtain victory.

Born in Freising, Germany, Marco ruins Montgomerie’s dream of winning the Senior Open Title at Sunningdale by winning it. The 51 year old, Dawson had his second win this season securing his second title after winning the Senior Open Championships Title in England.

Dawson’s dream comes true after going through two huge back surgeries and a lot of hours spent working on his game on the range and being able to achieve the best he is capable of in the sport. It has been an unbelievable journey for him, says the American Golfer.

After winning the title of the Senior Open Championship and taking it home this year, Dawson now has a chance to play in the Open Championship next year in July at Royal Troon.
