Rebuild Yourself

Many of you must have ended up at the lowest low in your life where nothing would seem to work and nothing seems enjoyable. All of us face resistance at one point or the other. But remember there is always a creative way to resume and get back on track. Following are some of the ways which will help you get one step closer back to a life you love. But do not forget – we are far more flexible than we think.

Create a happiness ritual

Every day will be filled with chaos when you begin rebuilding your life from the scratch. One of the key things is to create a happiness ritual as it will add predictability and stability to your life. Start writing down a list of all things you like doing throughout the day. It can be

  •  Sitting in coffee shops and read
  • Exercising might make you feel good
  • You may like going with friends for movies

 The key here is to figure activities to perform during the day that you love. Even if it is just a few things that take an hour, create your own daily happiness ritual and do it every day.

 30 day experiment

Figure out when you are in flow throughout the day, where flow is an experience, it is when you enjoy something, flow involves learning and growing. Flow producing activities are often the highest highs of the day for many people. When you perform any task then it is suggested to write down,

  • What were you doing?
  • Did you feel the flow with whatever your were doing?
  • Was the activity enjoyable, was time passing effortlessly or was my mind turned off?

 You will gain information about activities that you naturally engage to or get associated with without even knowing about it.

 80/20 Your Problems

 It is crucial to fix the “nagging” issues that bother you, so it is better to identify things that make you most unhappy throughout the day? What were the main things affecting my mood? It can be loneliness or work, etc. It is better to a work in a more relaxed atmosphere filled with people you got along with. There can be certain periods of the day which are really low for you so better to schedule activities that fill the gaps. There will be times when you view everything in your life as miserable simply as a puzzle piece.  But remember the will finally start coming together.
