This is my first post for Vskills. And I am clueless as to what to write on. So I chose to write on experiences. Experiences can make you a better person, they allow you to achieve milestones, and we grow as a person all together because of various experiences we gather on a daily basis.
My first experience of traveling alone was provided to me by my college life. I made new friends, not only from Delhi but from various other states and from all walks of life. And by knowing them in person and by learning new things because of traveling I personally felt that I grew as a person all together.
Education is an experience as well. It is education that enlightens our mind and makes us achieve success. No matter what discipline you are from, it is an educated and an experienced mind that defines the kind of person you are. You may be a medical student, and engineer, an economist, or a student from any other discipline, it is the experiences that you derive from all these educational fields that make you the person you are today.
People often say that it is the degree that counts or it is the percentage that counts but I am of the view that yes education, degree and percentage matter. But what also matters is the experiences you gain from various other aspects of life. Whether it be traveling alone for the first time, cooking, making new outstation friends, meeting new people who are successful and knowing about their life stories, participating in college festivals, in various competitions, participating in various MUN’s or debates or panel discussions.
All these things make you the person you are today. 10 or maybe 5 years from now, your will be amazed as to how many small things you have learnt out of these various experiences you have gained and how these will help you in your corporate lives. These experiences and the things or lessons you have learnt out of them will define what kind of a person you are. So go ahead and gather experiences.
