It is a twofold process- becoming knowledgeable with anti discrimination law and monitoring closely what is happening in the company. Listed below are few steps which can effectively help managers to handle this sort of discrimination:-
1. Paying attention to what one doesn’t see. Sometime employees just cannot prove or stop discriminatory behavior but that doesn’t mean it did not happen.
2. Avoid favoritism at levels of the organization.
3. Personal beliefs regarding caste, religion, sexual orientation should be kept personal.
4. Think before saying something that can be misconstrued in a different way.
5. Respond quickly when an employee raises some concern and see to it that the issue is settled amiably.
