Cricket : Performance Vs Retirement

Cricket Performance Vs Retirement

Playing on the field and criticizing or suggesting is an easy task. One gets good recognition or get bad recognition. There are many Indian players who are struggling to get back in Indian eleven. There is also many international player who are also fighting to come back. It is very bad situation when a cricket player unable to get opportunity due to his bad or under performance or any other reason.

Once it was said that Virendra Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir & Yuvraj Singh are the candidate for the captaincy of Indian Cricket team after MS Dhoni. But now they are struggling to be the part of Indian eleven. They are really top class good player but are unable to get chance in Indian team. Is their performance or any other factor responsible for it.?

They came to know their faults after quitting the cricket or realizes their faults which works as a hinder in getting opportunity. The faults is only that cricket  demands constants good performance i.e result.

The Cricket legend Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid,Sourav Ganguly and many other were also struggling to remain or be part in the Indian eleven in their time. It is certain they were not comfortable against that unwanted situation & became hopeless.  Due to this pressure,at last they  have to quit  playing  the cricket by taking retirement. They remain hero for the period they perform well and Villain for the period they unable to perform up to a satisfaction level.

Now when they are out of playing cricket , they are tagged name  with  as an expert. Are they experienced or expert? There  is difference between an expert & experienced.  An cricket expert is the person who is presently performing well but an experienced is a person who has played the cricket in past or performed in the past whereas an experienced cricketer is a guide or mentor or a coach or founder who want to keep the cricket alive by producing new cricketer.

At last but not least  “It is a rule of cricket  that  keeping  good performance consistently may keeps  one in the team and on under performance or bad performance may keep out  from the team”  Remember one  takes place of  some other cricketer   and at last the one must vacate the place for other i.e sure retirement from playing formal cricket. Player will come & go but playing cricket will continue forever.

All the best to the Indian cricket team for winning performance.
