We came half-way through the Generation and Evolution of Android. Now over to more modern and user-friendly OS with much more advance features.

6. ANDROID GINGERBREAD (Android 2.3)

Upgrading the UI ,  improvements in bugs and API of froyo a new android was launched at the end of 2010, it was Android Gingerbread, it was the most stable fast and with simple GUI android among all previous versions.This android was used by a lot of people as there was much awareness among people for android was developed. The New UI and theme which was introduced in gingerbread gave vividness and contrast to the menu,notification bar etc. Changes in menu and settings make it easier of the control and manage the phone. The Keyboard was also modified for faster imput than previous versions showing the current typed letter as well as the dictionary suggestions just above it in a more vivid format, making easier for the user to select the word without typing it fully .New Multi Touch key Chording let the user change the format of keyboard like changing the keyboard to number pad by pressing shift+letter with changing manually the input of letters. This system showing the user how my power is consumed by which app,letting user manage the most power consuming app and increasing battery life. User can also find a shortcut called Manage application .Once the user enters Manage Applications, a new Running tab displays a list of active applications and the storage and memory being used by each. New Feature called SIP internet calling was introduced in this user can add a SIP(internet calling address) to any contact and call them via the dialer,for using this feature user must create a SIP account that to varies of handsets to carriers.
