A PERFECT BLEND OF VIRTUAL REALITY AND FACE TO FACE CONVERSATION
What is your belief system advocating?
We see , for many companies adopting virtual work is an all or nothing proposition, they either engage completely through effective virtual portals, or stick to the brick and mortar space shrouding themselves from the ultimate benefits that it comes along with. What is your take do you feel that this ideology suits well in the dynamic era of today?
I believe most of you will be against this notion, facts say that many companies face a lot of conundrum in determining their policies and work plans
It is neither feasible as well a rational to turn your backs on the benefits of having a virtual work force ,but with the new digital age paving in ,we also stand to lose something integral, as to what makes an organisation humane and productive- relationships that can only be further built through face to face conversation
Thus it is essential to have a perfect blend of both the virtual and physical space, virtual work helps in drawing on the global talent pool, fostering enough degree of autonomy among employees,broader interaction, employees tend to be more receptive and respond quickly, thus ensuring proper integration of work and family life on the other side of the platter, all the discussions that take place virtually become concrete with the holding of a board meeting ,wherein the hierarchy is abolished and everyone is empowered to share their ideas in the summit .This process provides innovative solutions to complex predicaments
Thus this sort of blend is well appreciated, received and adapted by many companies, they daily engage with the employees through media tools, having a virtual meeting at the end of the day and a formal face to face one at the end of the month, we see each and every element of both the aspects do seem to have a lot of significance ,emails work best for passing on factual information, tele conferencing suits best for decision related task as to who will represent the company in any meeting, and material transaction are best executed at face to face meetings
Thus we see that it’s the combination of both that actually works out well for the companies ,all the fledgling one’s do emulate this strategy as this is very cost effective and flexible. This strategy will sooner or later definitely eat away all the traditional form of engagements
