Good news and Bad news for both general category applicants to join undergraduate courses in Delhi University. Good news is that majority of the colleges are keeping admissions open in popular courses such as commerce, economics, English, physics and chemistry and the bad news is that the drop in cutoffs is nearly insignificant.
Following is a list of drop in cut-off for commerce
- LSR dropped its cutoff by 1%
- KMC has decreased it by half a per cent
- Hindu dropped its cutoff by 0.25%
- Hans Raj has the same cutoff as that in the first list
There are other colleges like Ambedkar, Shivaji, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharam and College of Vocational Studies where commerce is still available.
Following is a list of drop in cut-off for economic
- SRCC and Miranda House have decreased their cutoff by 0.25%
- Hindu, LSR and Hans Raj, candidates with two marks less than that of first list’s minimum aggregate will be eligible for admissions from Monday.
A substantial decrease in cut-off has been seen across colleges in English.
Following is a list of drop in cut-off for English
- Hans Raj dropped its cutoff by 1.5%
- LSR and Hindu has decreased 0.75%
- Miranda House it is decreased by 0.5%
This course is open in colleges like KMC, DDU, RLA and Shivaji. The turnout at most North Campus colleges has been less due to the high cutoffs in the first list as college authorities choose to be extra careful in deciding the cutoffs.
Admissions for the second cutoff will start from July 1, 2013 and continue till July 3, 2013. Morning colleges will conduct the admissions from 9am to 1pm, while the evening colleges will conduct the process from 4pm to7pm.
