The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research holds the CSIR-UGC (NET) normally twice every year, in June and in December.
This Examination is held to determine the eligibility of Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and for appointment of Lecturers in Science subjects (LS) in Indian Universities and Colleges. A candidate may apply either for both JRF and Lectureship.
All details about the test and the actual dates are published in the Employment News and in the CSIR website http://www.csirhrdg.res.in usually in February and August.
