Post declaration of results for JEE Advanced on June 21, 2013 – an online counselling session has started in which all successful students are participating, this session will continue till June 30, 2013. This online counselling session will assist the students to select the course and institutes of their choice. The students are showing keen interest towards subjects like Computer Science, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical and Civil Engineering courses. Increasing number of students are showing interest towards taking dual degree course as compared to the preceding years. Students are preferring mostly for IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Madras, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Roorkee, IIT-BHU and IIT-Guhawati and IIT-Kharagpur. Thereafter students are giving preference to the other IITs that have been newly constituted including IIT-Gandhinagar, IIT-Mandi, IIT-Ropar, etc.
The allotment of seats shall be done on July 2, 2013. All successful candidates are asked to visit respective IITs for verification of documents starting from July 4 to July 8, 2013. After verification the student will be given IITs and courses of their choice. Thereafter, the students are asked to report to IITs offered to them on July 20 and 21, 2013 and the classes will commence from July 27, 2013.
