Poverty, a curse in recent times. These days India is one of the most advanced developing countries however, with increase in development increases the population rate and as an by-product increases the all total number of people below the poverty line.
These days people with annual income below 5000/- is termed as poor or below poverty line.Although they are provided with basic amenities of low price ration and other demands however most of the times these are not sufficient.However,we surely don’t make many amends to help the poor too….
Well the last day I was at a certain station and was waiting for the train to arrive,when I saw a group of boys and girls about 10 to 12 years of age begging.I saw people refusing them to give any money.Most of them looking at them as if they were some sort of scum.Well I felt a little awkward but I gate them about 10/- rupees.However it made me sad.
It made me sad to think that there are boys and girls of our age who are not studying but working at ‘dukaaans’ or begging to support there family.Well illiteracy and several diseases are a direct after effect.
Well it hurts all of us to see this crucial situation.Can’t we make amends to solve this situation?Can’t we make sure that at least the little ones gets the basic education so that in the next generation we can eradicate this evil of poverty?
We all need a helping hand.So please instead of refusing one, help the poor so that he can stand alone later on and we can reach the goal of a perfect nation.

It is indeed a sad situation to see young people of our age, engaged in begging and stealing because of their poor state. The country needs to work towards creating a better future for all under privileged people.
More than a curse, poverty is a vicious circle. It just never ends.
True. Poverty is not just a state of living but also a state of mind. It is high time everyone comes together to eradicate this world wide problem.
Your post highlights critical points of our economy too. The government must take steps to eradicate poverty and bring equality. One such step which it has already taken is financial inclusion. It would be really great if it takes more. I would love to read articles about that too. Good work !

Poverty is something we can’t eradicate overnight but can in 2 or 3 decades. But it is important to give education or atleast primary literacy to every child. These two are interconnected. As Gandhiji once said “there are enough resource in earth for every single person,but not for the greed of a single person”
