HRM includes 3 primary activities:
- Job Design- This activity is about determining how to assign people at various tasks required to achieve the goals of the organization. It includes designing tasks, determining how many people are needed to carry out them, etc. Basically designing the task structure.
- Managing Competencies- This activity of the HRM entails managing the talent of the firm. It involves training of the employees as well as skill development as every job comes with a learning curve.
- Managing Attitudes and Behavior- This final activity of HRM involves aligning the goals of the employees with that of the firm’s. HR managers are required to keep the people motivated so that optimum performance can be achieved from them. Also employees are needed to feel right at home in order to get the best work of them.
So, if any of these activities excite you, then HR could definitely be your cup of tea.
