In the Global Human Capital Trends 2014 conducted by Delloite it has emerged that the third greatest challenge in human capital management is the requirement to reskill the HR team.  Only 7% of HR leaders surveyed expressed confidence in their team to develop and deliver innovative programs that double up as key business drivers. Business leaders had a consensus on the fact. Only 25% of business leaders committed that their HR teams continuously delivered excellent or good results as per the survey, compared to 75% who expressed dissenting opinions.
As an impacting business partner, HR teams need to acquire an ever increasing wide skills repository. Understanding of workforce demographics and global culture; impact of new technologies in recruiting, the importance of nurturing institutional learning, utilized social networks to drive its initiative, and Human resource analytics; and stay up to date with developments in,  mobility of talent, and performance management. They should operate as business consultants who impact the bottomline as they are in charge of managing the key differentiator for the organization, which includes knowledge of how the business functions, and develops its suistainable competitive advantage.tation, and certification.
