Using the Interface

Various interface elements of MS-Word are

• Toolbars - Toolbars have buttons or tool buttons, which perform specific function like Standard Toolbar, formatting Toolbar
• The Ruler - It is used to insert or remove tab stops, change margins and also change the insertion point.
• The Menu Commands - All the options in MS-WORD can be used through the various menus.
• Keyboard Shortcut - Tasks that we perform repeatedly can also be done from specific key combination. For example the shortcut key for closing a document is Alt and F4 key combination (Alt + F4).
