Hybrid Working

Structured Hybrid Role

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

Introduction

  • Team manager overseeing the operation of the KYC team.
  • Manage the team with respect to people, process, business and operations
  • Produce MIS for senior management.
  • Act as a focal point for all queries that will be raised by the team during the course of operations.
  • Ensure compliance of policies and procedures.
  • Work with the team and assist them with their development

What will you be doing?

  • Set targets for the team and ensure SLA adherence at all times.
  • Conduct regular briefings to help team understand process updates. Perform RCA on errors, identify gaps and work with the QC team to ensure that the team’s quality is top notch.
  • Provide timely MIS for senior management consumption
  • Provide efficient leadership to the team
  • Manage attrition rate within target levels
  • Ensure high levels of motivation among the team
  • Prepare development plans for every team member with a suitable plan of action
  • Ensure open communication with stakeholders
  • Work with onshore teams to identify gaps and provide solutions
  • Aim to enhance the RFT scores of KYC teams by coordinating with QC teams.
  • Ensure the quality scores of the team is met at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Good level understanding of Barclays Corporate systems
  • Graduation in any discipline
  • Proven ability to make decisions using own initiative and without guidance
  • Ability to contribute effectively when working with colleagues at more senior levels across KYC and with Coverage colleagues, both verbally and written
  • Proven ability to analyse a significant amount of data and offer solutions and recommendations for improved operational control efficiency.

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Proven experience in KYC roles and thorough understanding of KYC
  • Experience of working with key stakeholders e.g., Financial Crime and Relationship Teams
  • Ability to contribute effectively when working with senior colleagues, across the breadth of business/strategic issues
  • Proven ability to prioritise effectively, setting direction and targets, balancing resources and management stake and Proven Leadership experience including recruitment, structuring, leading, and motivating operational teams to deliver results against stretching performance targets
  • Preferred 3-5 years of relevant team handling experience
