Installation and Uninstallation

Installation and Uninstallation

To install or uninstall a theme in WordPress, you can follow these steps:

Installation:

Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

Click on the “Appearance” option in the left-hand menu, and then click on “Themes.”

Click on the “Add New” button at the top of the page.

You can browse through the featured, popular, or latest themes, or search for a specific theme using the search bar. Once you have found a theme you like, click on the “Install” button.

WordPress will now download and install the theme. Once it is complete, click on the “Activate” button to make the theme live on your website.

Uninstallation:

Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

Click on the “Appearance” option in the left-hand menu, and then click on “Themes.”

Hover your mouse over the theme you want to uninstall, and click on the “Theme Details” button.

At the bottom of the popup, click on the “Delete” button to remove the theme completely from your WordPress installation.

Note: Uninstalling a theme will not delete any of the content you have created on your website, but it will remove any customizations you have made to the theme. Also, before uninstalling a theme, it is recommended to switch to a different theme to ensure that your website stays functional.
