Insert and Modify Hyperlinks

Here are the steps to insert and modify hyperlinks in Microsoft Word:

Inserting a hyperlink:

Place your cursor where you want to insert the hyperlink in your Word document.

Click on the “Insert” tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.

Click on the “Hyperlink” button in the “Links” section of the ribbon.

In the “Insert Hyperlink” dialog box, enter the address of the web page or file you want to link to in the “Address” field.

If you want to link to a specific location within a web page, enter the URL in the “Address” field followed by the name of the anchor or bookmark you want to link to, separated by a “#” symbol.

Click “OK” to insert the hyperlink.

Modifying a hyperlink:

Click on the hyperlink in your Word document.

Right-click on the hyperlink and select “Edit Hyperlink” from the context menu.

In the “Edit Hyperlink” dialog box, you can change the address of the hyperlink in the “Address” field.

You can also change the display text of the hyperlink in the “Text to display” field.

Click “OK” to save your changes.

Removing a hyperlink:

Click on the hyperlink in your Word document.

Right-click on the hyperlink and select “Remove Hyperlink” from the context menu.

The hyperlink will be removed, but the text will remain in your document.
