Risk Management

Risk Management

Risk management is an important aspect of Software Quality Assurance that involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks that may arise during the software development life cycle. It involves analyzing the likelihood and impact of risks and implementing strategies to minimize or eliminate them.

The four main steps in risk management are:

Risk Identification: This involves identifying potential risks that may impact the software development process, such as technical, organizational, or environmental risks.

Risk Analysis: This involves assessing the likelihood and impact of each identified risk to prioritize them based on their severity and probability of occurrence.

Risk Mitigation: This involves implementing strategies to minimize or eliminate identified risks, such as modifying the development process, improving communication, or implementing quality control measures.

Risk Monitoring: This involves continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the risk management strategies implemented to ensure they are adequate in addressing potential risks.
