Forms

Forms

In PHP, a form is a way for a user to input data that can be processed by a server-side script. Forms typically consist of HTML markup that defines the input fields, such as text boxes, radio buttons, and checkboxes, and a submit button that sends the form data to the server.

PHP provides several functions and techniques to work with forms, such as the $_GET and $_POST superglobals to retrieve form data, and the htmlspecialchars function to sanitize user input and prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

Forms in PHP can be used for a variety of purposes, such as creating login pages, contact forms, search boxes, and registration forms. They can also be used to process data, validate user input, and interact with databases.

To create a form in PHP, you need to create an HTML form with input fields, set the form action to the URL of the PHP script that will process the form data, and use the appropriate PHP functions to retrieve and process the form data.
