Keyboard & Mouse
A keyboard is an input device that allows users to enter text, numbers, and other characters into a computer or other electronic device. A keyboard typically consists of a set of keys arranged in a specific layout, such as the QWERTY layout commonly used in English-speaking countries.
The keys on a keyboard are typically labeled with letters, numbers, symbols, and function keys that perform specific actions or commands. Some keyboards also have additional keys for media playback, volume control, and other functions.
A mouse is another input device used in IT that allows users to move a cursor or pointer on a screen, typically by moving the mouse along a flat surface. The cursor is used to select, click, drag, and manipulate objects on the screen.
A standard mouse has two buttons and a scroll wheel, but there are also variations that include additional buttons and features, such as trackballs, touchpads, and touchscreens.
Both keyboards and mice can be connected to a computer using a wired connection, such as USB or PS/2, or using a wireless connection, such as Bluetooth or RF. Wireless connections allow for greater flexibility and mobility, while wired connections offer a more reliable and stable connection.
In addition to traditional keyboards and mice, there are also ergonomic keyboards and mice that are designed to reduce strain and improve comfort during prolonged use. These devices are often used by people who spend a lot of time typing or using a computer mouse, such as office workers and gamers.
