Modify Excel Default Settings

Microsoft Excel provides many default settings that you can modify to customize the application to your liking. Here are some of the ways to modify Excel default settings:

Change default font: To change the default font in Excel, go to the “File” tab and click on “Options”. In the “General” section, select the font you want to use as the default font for Excel.

Change default file location: You can change the default file location where Excel saves files. Go to the “File” tab and click on “Options”. In the “Save” section, you can specify a new default file location.

Change default paste options: Excel has several paste options that determine how copied data is pasted into a worksheet. To change the default paste options, go to the “File” tab and click on “Options”. In the “Advanced” section, scroll down to the “Cut, copy, and paste” options and select the default option you prefer.

Change default number format: You can change the default number format for Excel. Go to the “File” tab and click on “Options”. In the “Advanced” section, scroll down to the “When calculating this workbook” options and select the number format you prefer.

Change default worksheet template: Excel uses a default worksheet template when you create a new workbook. You can change this template by creating a new workbook with the settings you prefer, then saving it as a template.

Change default language: You can change the default language for Excel by going to the “File” tab and clicking on “Options”. In the “Language” section, select the language you prefer.
