Software Requirements for Biztalk

The software requirements for BizTalk Server include:

Operating System: Windows Server 2016 Standard or later, or Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard or later.

Database Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2017, 2016, or 2014 Standard or Enterprise Edition, with the latest service pack and cumulative update.

.NET Framework: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later.

Visual Studio: Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 or later, for developing BizTalk Server solutions.

Internet Information Services (IIS): IIS 8.5 or later, for deploying BizTalk Server Web Services.

Office: Microsoft Office 2013 or later, for generating and processing Excel and Word documents.

Host Integration Server: If you plan to use BizTalk Server for Host Integration, you will need Microsoft Host Integration Server 2016 or later.

Virtualization: If you plan to install BizTalk Server in a virtual environment, you can use Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware vSphere.

Note that these are the minimum software requirements for BizTalk Server. Depending on the specific implementation and integration scenarios, additional software may be required. It is important to ensure that all software components are up to date and compatible with each other to ensure the stability and performance of BizTalk Server.

This is required for the BizTalk Server Developer Tools and SDK component.   Note The Developer Tools and SDK component cannot be installed on Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions.

OWC11 Version 4 is optional for a BizTalk Server 2006 R2 installation. It is required only if you want to use Health and Activity Tracking (HAT).
