10BASE T with Hubs

10BASE-T is a type of Ethernet networking technology that uses twisted-pair copper cabling to connect devices in a network. In a 10BASE-T network, devices are connected to a central hub or switch using a twisted-pair Ethernet cable.

A hub is a device that acts as a central connection point for devices in a network. As more devices are added to the network, the available bandwidth for each device decreases, which can lead to slower network speeds and increased latency.

As a result, newer networking technologies, such as switches, are often used in place of hubs to create more efficient and reliable networks. Switches are able to route traffic directly to its destination, rather than broadcasting it to all devices on the network like a hub does, which helps to reduce network congestion and improve network performance.
