There are instances here companies respond to talent needs reactively rather than being proactive. For example, GE realized the talent pool available in the market and altered their strategies to hire talent when needed by planning for talent needs required in the next 10 years. The workforce planning is important in relation to understanding the organization’s business strategy, goals and competitive markets because it identifies what talents a company might require.
