Designing acquisition plan
When planning to acquire a company, it is very important to start with a good and strong plan. If the buyer is planning to get into a partnership with other investors, then the plan would be very critical to bring his financial team to get together for the acquisition process. On the other hand, if the buyer is planning to buy the company with his own capital, then also a well planned approach is of utmost importance.
Before devising a plan, there are three areas which have to be taken into consideration.
- The Goal: What the buyer intends to gain from the acquisition.
- Buyer’s Experience: What is the buyer’s capability.
- The Opportunity: Which segment of the industry would be correct for acquisition to gain the desired goals.
